Snoring & Sleep Apnoea

An occasional bout of snoring is pretty normal, but snoring on a regular basis may be more problematic as it may indicate you could have a condition called sleep apnoea. The most common form of sleep apnoea is called obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), a condition where you will stop breathing for several seconds before restarting, usually with a loud snort or gasp. This can occur many times throughout the night and you will not fully awaken but will prevent you from getting a deep restful sleep. This can negatively impact your general health which is why it’s important to get a proper diagnosis and treatment for snoring and sleep apnoea.

How We Can Help You

When you visit Bowen Dental our team will ask questions about your sleep habits. If snoring is an issue, we can provide advice and assess if an oral device could give you a more restful sleep.
