We feel that everyone in Bowen should have a regular dental examination every six months, even if your teeth and gums seem perfectly healthy. These regular exams are a quick and simple way for us to detect tiny problems before they can become bigger and more costly to treat.
During your dental check-up at Bowen Dental, we will gently examine your teeth and gums to look for any small cavities or lesions or signs of gum disease. We take detailed notes at each visit so we can compare our findings with your previous visits and can easily detect any changes to your dental health.
Your dental exam will include regular screenings for oral problems. This is quick, painless and non-invasive as we will closely examine your oral tissues to check for any changes in colour or texture and for any unexplained lumps, bumps and sore patches.
If we find any problems, we will explain them to you once your examination is complete and provide you with all possible treatment options. We know it can sometimes be tricky to understand your dental needs which is why we allow lots of time to talk you through your treatment options.
It is very important to us that you leave our practice with a good understanding of your treatment, so please just ask if something does not make sense.
